Chris Welch
Since I was a young boy in Mutlangen, Germany, I've had a heavy fascination with computers. The power that a 133hz Pentium processor offered quickly set the course for what the future held in store and access to the internet only amplified it.

Now, with over 15 years of experience in product and systems design, I currently work at Facebook where my team and I help shape the design system that serves hundreds of designers and thousands of engineers to build experiences for over two billion people worldwide.

Fundamentally, I'm most passionate about connecting people with technology in an unobtrusive, safe and democratic way. The purpose and value should be obvious and its footprint as reductive as possible.

Elsewhere, I can sometimes be found capturing snapshots of my day, recording my thoughts on movies I've seen, and posting screenshots I've taken inside video games.
